These Are Our Favorite Breville Products from Years and Years of Testing

We’re firm believers that not every brand makes the best of everything. But there are certainly some brands that make really, truly great stuff across multiple categories. Including Breville! (And OXO and ThermoWorks, just so you don’t think we’re shilling for any brand, as this post is totally unsponsored.)

Recently, we went through our equipment reviews to find the best-of-the-best of Breville: products we’ve already tested, vetted, and highly recommended.

We named this one of our favorite coffee grinders after testing, but it’s been a standby for a long time. As we said in our review, “Breville’s Smart Grinder Pro has been the Serious Eats office grinder for years, grinding beans for multiple pots of coffee daily, and it’s done that job admirably.” We particularly like its large dial for adjusting grind size and its clear LCD screen. Overall it’s an excellent coffee grinder for less than $200.

Our reviewer described our favorite espresso machine perfectly: “It’s almost more difficult to make a bad espresso drink with this machine than it is to make a good one.” It’s simple to set up and has just a handful of buttons. Plus, at about $400, it’s pretty dang affordable as far as espresso machines go.

With automatic dosing, a built-in grinder, and an assisted tamping arm, the Express Impress is pretty dang easy to operate. So much so, we named it the best espresso machine for beginners. Plus, it makes great espresso (important!).

Our favorite sous vide machine also hails from Breville (obviously). It’s sleek, it’s app-operated, it’s powerful, it’s accurate, and it has a magnetic base so it can stand up in a stockpot or Dutch oven.

If you’re gonna splurge on an ice cream maker, make it this model from Breville. It’s self-freezing (read: no having to remember to pop the canister into the freezer the day before), so you can make ice cream on a whim (well, more or less!). It has 12 hardness settings and pre-cool and keep-cool options. Adorably, it also features “classic ice cream truck tunes that alert you when your ice cream is done churning.”

Our longtime favorite toaster oven is this model, which just works so extremely well. Toast toasts evenly, things crisp wonderfully, and cookies bake perfectly. The LCD display and control knobs also make it easy peasy to operate.

This air fryer toaster oven has a smaller footprint than other models we tested, but we found the fry basket to be “wide and roomy, which means you can cook a large volume of food without sacrificing crispiness.” It’s also available in some fun colors (like Damson Blue). Aesthetic!

With a top-notch air fryer function and app-compatibility (you can read more about how it works here), we love this pricey oven. It also has some handy settings like “Proof” for all you bread bakers out there. And as for the air fryer function? Fries and wings emerged “crispy, golden, and juicy.”

This was one of the most powerful, fastest hand mixers we tested. It even has a focus light that shines into the mixing bowl and a built-in timer, so you can know exactly how long you’ve been creaming butter for. We also appreciated the silicone-coated beaters, which allows you to avoid that scrape-scrape, metal-on-metal noise.

After testing a whole lot of immersion blenders, we thought the Breville stood out for, yes, the stick blender itself, but also its accessories. It comes with a whisk attachment, blending jar, and mini chopper. It also has a comfortable, soft-grip handle.

For hot and cold foam with literally no effort, you need an electric milk frother. The Breville can froth milk at nearly any temperature and also has a large carafe, so it can handle a few drinks at a time.

For a standard electric kettle (read: not variable temperature), this is a fantastic, sub-$100 option. In our tests, it heated up quickly, poured without sputtering or splattering, and had a comfortable, soft-grip handle.

Beauty, grace, and capable of making pizza without outdoor space: it’s the Breville Pizzaiolo! We reviewed it years ago and were pretty stoked by the pies it churned out. Of course, its sleek, stainless steel exterior adds to its countertop appliance appeal.

Breville nabbed two of the top spots in our food processor review. We liked their attachments and how powerful-yet-quiet they were. The 16-cup even features a built-in timer.

After testing 11 electric citrus juicers and squeezing more limes, oranges, and grapefruits than we need to for a lifetime, we chose two models from Breville as our top picks. Both have long spindles and arms that keep citrus in place and press it down effectively, juicing small and large fruit well. They were also both very stable—a trait not all electric citrus juicers shared.

Breville’s multicooker allows you to set the pressure in 0.5 PSI increments, which is why we dubbed it the best multicooker for “control freaks.” Like most of Breville’s products, it’s easy to use and has a bright control screen and clearly labeled control buttons/knobs.
